    ABSTRACT:

An electronic circuit might consist of a CPU, ROM, RAM and other glue logic. VLSI lets IC makers at all of this into one chip. A contrast of Network On Chip’s (NoC’s) structure makes a fitting replacement for System On Chip (SoC) design in designs incorporating large number of processing cores. In NoC the overall power dissipation is due to the interconnection system. The interconnects have become main element in dynamic power dissipation in a NoC design. NoC improves the scalability of SoC and the power efficient of complex SoC compared to other designs. The wires in the links of the NoC are shared by many signals. The project concept depends on the traffic flow in the chip. The idea presented in this project exploits the wormhole switching techniques and works on an end to end basis. That is flits are encoded by the Network Interface (NI) before they are injected in the network and are decoded by the destination NI. In such a way as to minimize both switching activity and the coupling switching activity which represent the main factors of power dissipation. The proposed schemes are general and transparent with respect to the underlying NoC fabrication. The data encoding technique in which number of switching transitions in data word is brought down to reduce the power dissipation. To verify the efficiency of the proposed technique, encoder structure was designed by using VerilogHDL. As result, we save the power on NoC links more than 50%.

    ABSTRACT:

This paper discusses the current process of eviction and resettlement of Khulna railway station remodeling project, and proposes proper compensation guidelines to ensure appellativewellbeing of the evicted slum dwellers and shopkeepers. Both legal and illegal land dwellers get resettled when a project requires land but there is no provision for compensation for illegal land dwellers in resettlement policies of Bangladesh. However, in policy guidelines of international organizations like World Bank and Asian Development Bank, provision for compensation for legal and illegal land dwellers have been kept to ensure wellbeing. The eviction of Khulna railwaystation remodeling was carried out following their own policy guideline. Thus evicted slum dwellers and shopkeepers didn’t receive any compensation for their loss. The objective of this study was to propose proper compensation guideline to mitigate the loss faced by evicted people and draw a proper framework to assure their wellbeing. Several focused group discussion and surveys were conducted under this study for figuring out the procedure of this eviction process. Different international organizations policy was reviewed to outline best practice in resettlement process and various case studies were demonstrated to show good practice of resettlement in Bangladesh.

Groundwater is the second source of drinking and irrigation water in the study area, especially in the regions which lack of the surface water. Accordingly, twenty-five sample of groundwater have been collected from an area between of Abu Qurqas - Dayer Mawas districts and analyzed physically and chemically. The means of pH and TDS of the studied samples were 7.50 and 554 ppm, respectively. The majority of groundwater samples were fresh but very hard water. The groundwater high contents of the analyzed ions are attributed to leaching processes, the effect of marine sediments, agriculture drainage, sewage water, pesticides and fertilizers applications in the study area. The studied samples are earth alkaline water with prevailing sodium and bicarbonate ions due to ion exchange process of the rainfall which recharges the aquifers. Therefore, the majority of groundwater samples are of meteoric origin.

    ABSTRACT:

The performance of the Dibrugarh University low latitude 3D theoretical model at different geomagnetic activity levels and for intense geomagnetic storms has been investigated. In this model the continuity, momentum and energy balance equations of ion and electron flux along geomagnetic field lines from the Northern to the Southern hemisphere are solved simultaneously. The model is used to simulate electron density at different geomagnetic activity conditions Ap=5, 10, 20. With the increase of the geomagnetic activity, the Equatorial Ionization Anomaly (EIA) exhibits a tendency to come closure towards low latitudes and the EIA merges at Ap=20. The effect of two intense geomagnetic storms that occurred in July & November 2004 on Total Electron Content (TEC) has been investigated and compared with observed TEC data. Agreement between model and measured data was found to be very good.

This study examined the effect of income factor on stock returns on Ho Chi Minh stock exchange using data collected from 2006 to 2014. Results from OLS regression showed that, compair to the other commonly-documented factors (market, size, value and liquidity factors), the income factor had a less significant impact on the stock returns. This mean that investors on stock market did not use EPS as a important variable in their stock-pricing model. Grounded on the findings, we put forward some recommendations.

    ABSTRACT:

Recent climatic changes are posing great threat to natural resources and biodiversity worldwide and the threat is particularly eminent in Sub-Saharan Africa, urging for better adaptation interventions. In turn, in this study, we explored the drought pattern in Sudan and South Sudan for the period between 1961 and 2013. Consistent with several recent studies those characterized drought patterns; we used the Standardized Precipitation-Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI) of drought to explore possible drought events in two countries Sudan and South Sudan over the last 53 years. Our analysis documented results about drought in these two countries. While in Sudan temperature is increasing, precipitation is dramatically decreasing. In south Sudan, we saw opposite scenario where temperature is generally has a declining trend and precipitation is increasing. Also, the recurrence last drought periods for the most times was moderate except the fact that in 1984, 1991, and 2000 most of Sudan and South Sudan has witnessed extreme and severe drought periods. There is a wide seasonal and spatial variability in drought intensity, as some areas became drier in summer and wetter in autumn and winter. Overall, we provide evidence that the drought is persistently occurring in Sudan with a prolonged periods. This information is of high value for setting up adaptation and mitigation strategies related to forest and natural resources. Furthermore, we caution that our study has no intention to predict the future of drought in both countries as this is beyond our objectives.

Carica papaya is known to influence the growth of plants in its vicinity by the release of the allelochemicals during the decomposition of its litter. The purpose of this study is to assess the allelopathic effects of Carica papaya aqueous leaf extraction seedgermination characteristics, primary growth and biochemical changes associated with Phaseolus aureus. For the study, C papaya aqueous leaf extract of dry mature leaves of concentrations viz., 0. 1%, 0.2%, 0.3%, 0.4% and0.5% were made, while tap water served as control. Green gram seeds were incubated in different concentrations of leaf extracts and germination data was recorded. After 15th, 30th&45th days of exposure to the extract, seedlings were harvested and measurements for root and shoot length, fresh weights of root, shoot, and seed was taken and biochemical characteristics such as carbohydrates, protein, chlorophyll, proline and phenol content of the seedlings wereassayed. Germination and phenotypic results showed no negative affect by the extractin T1, T2, T3 treatments. The amount of total carbohydrate, chlorophyll and protein content were found to be stimulated in T3. Lower concentration (T3) which appear to be suitable to green gram, showed a decrease in stress preventing compounds such as total phenol and free proline. Optimum and healthy growth were observed in T3 treatment. The results indicate the possible application of C.papaya aqueous leaf extract for growth improvement without pest attackof P. aureus.
