Various aspects of carbohydrates: an Overview

Carbohydrates are the biomolecules consisting of carbon (C), hydrogen (H) and oxygen (O) atoms which are major source of energy in the body. Brain and Red blood cell mainly utilizes the glucose. The storage form of glucose is glycogen which is stored in skeletal muscles and liver. The stored glycogen is converted into glucose and is used by body in a condition when there is low level of glucose in the body. In this review article, the author tries to cover various aspects of carbohydrates which may be helpful for the readers and researchers in research.
