Many of the health professional working in the hospitals does not have formal education on medical waste disposal. Therefore it is important to determine whether such formal education helps health professional to improve their knowledge and does this knowledge improves there practice. Present study was conducted in a multi-specialty teaching hospital in south Karnataka. Samples were selected by simple random method.

Introduction: Tracheal stenosis after prolonged intubation is a pathology that represents a challenge for the anesthesiologist. Within its management, it must guarantee a permeable airway, adequate oxygenation, hemodynamic stability, adequate extubation and postoperative care. The selection of the treatment depends on the clinical condition of the patient and the tracheal anatomy. Objectives: To show the anesthetic management used in a patient undergoing tracheoplasty.

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is the most common opportunistic infection among people living with HIV. It is also the leading cause of death among people living with HIV. Patients with HIV-pulmonary tuberculosis co-infection are most likely benefitted by Xpert MTB/RIF Assay. Aims & objective: Evaluation of Tuberculosis in HIV patients using the Xpert MTB/RIF assay and its rifampicin resistance pattern at tertiary care center in north India.

Patients are highly inclined towards aesthetic outlook in the recent years. More number of patients visit dental offices with the complaint of greyish-black gums. The core reason for this pigmentation of the gingiva is due to the melanoblastic activity. There are wide range of treatment options for depigmentation of the gingiva. They include scalpel gingivectomy, free gingival graft, bur abrasion, use of chemicals, electrosurgery, cryosurgery and lasers. Among the various techniques, lasers provide promising therapeutic option as they are simple, painless, effective and a reliable tool.

Introduction: Any pregnancy which passed beyond the EDD is called prolonged pregnancy and when it crossed beyond 42 weeks is called postmaturity .There is significant increase in perinatal morbidity and mortality due to past date. Aim: To study the maternal and perinatal out come in cases of past dates. Methodology: A cross sectional study was conducted for one year in the department of OBG in ACSR Medical College & General hospital Nellore. During this period total of 100 cases were randomly selected.

Introduction: Cranioencephalic trauma is generally defined according to the World Health Organization (WHO) as any physical injury, or functional deterioration of the cranial content secondary to a sudden exchange of mechanical energy and includes mild Traumatic Brain Injury(mTBI) with a score between 15 and 13 on the Glasgow coma scale. It is estimated that 80% of patients with traumatic brain injury who enter the emergency room have a slight risk.

Life without machines is impossible nowadays, may it be Air conditioners (AC),vehicles or mobiles.ACs are being commonly used in homes and offices. AC causes air to become cold and dry. This can adversely affect the health of the AC users, particularly respiratory system. The present study was done to compare the spirometric parameters of AC users with non users and to study the effect of duration of AC exposure on spirometric parameters.100 healthy, non smokers of age 25 – 50 yrs exposed to AC were selected as study group.

Treponema pallidum was discovered in 1905 as a causative organism of syphilis. Although discovered early, syphilis is still a major health problem in many developing countries.There are few studies available on congenital syphilis from gulf countries including Oman.We described a 5 cases of congenital syphilis seen in tertiary care center the Royal Hospital, Muscat, Oman.

Background: Shoulder instability is the most common problem of shoulder joint.The ultrasound and elastic band exercise plays essential role in treating the shoulder instability. Objective: The study aims to determine the effect of ultrasound and elastic band Study Design: prospective case study.

Background: Rotator cuff injury is a major problem for rural as well as urban population and the rehabilitation plays an important role in decreasing pain and improve disability in the shoulder joint. Purpose of Study: To know the efficacy of Ultrasound Therapy and LASER therapy in the pain and disability management of rotator cuff muscles injury of the shoulder joint. Methodology: 20 male patients (10 in each group) were randomly recruited for the study. Group A is Ultrasound therapy whereas group B is LASER therapy for 5 days in a weak for four weeks.
