    ABSTRACT:

Siwa Oasis is one of the most promised locations in the Western Desert of Egypt for future agricultural projects as a result of groundwater availability. In addition, it has historical, medical and environmental tourism importance. However, the uncontrolled abstraction and use of groundwater may lead to much environmental deterioration for soil and groundwater aquifer. This study dealt with the water quality of both shallow and deep aquifers in Siwa. The hydrochemical studies indicated the meteoric origin of deep aquifer and its suitability for different uses. Also, this water is free of As, Cd and Pb as well as contains acceptable levels of Cu and Zn. On the other hand, the shallow aquifer was very saline with TDS≥1651 ppm. Accordingly, this water is unsuitable for drinking. The main process controlling salinity of this aquifer was evaporation process. The salinity of water makes it detrimental for irrigation except under certain conditions. The most advantage of this water its acceptable SAR in most samples as well as acceptable levels of the studied harmful heavy metals. So it is restricted for the irrigation suitability. Unfortunately, the surface area of lakes was duplicated in the last 13 years as a result of uncontrolled irrigation. The application of new irrigation technology and cultivation of salt tolerant plants is recommended.

    ABSTRACT:

Modern hospitals slowly have left their main purpose as public service facility and have moved to business orientation. For that reason, they always had to enhance the professionalism as well as continuously innovate in order to win business competition as well as to earn maximum profit. Previous researches provided results on impact of marketing mix to customer’s loyalty. However, the impact of marketing mix particularly on patient loyalty to hospital, whether directly or mediated by hospital brand image, was still under observed. The purpose of this research was to investigate how far does marketing mix may enhance the loyalty of patient’s in a hospital as mediated by brand image of the hospital. Five mixes were chosen namely product, people, price, place, and promotion. Data in the form of questionnaire were collected from 195 recurring patient of outpatient department in a profit oriented company managed hospital in Jakarta. The data was then processed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The result of this research showed that marketing mix brought significant impact to hospital image while hospital image significantly impacted patient loyalty. Hospital image was able to be significant intervening variable between marketing mix and patient loyalty.

  5. ABSTRACT:

The terminator technology is the main application of a broadly framed pattern for the “control of plant gene expression”. The terminator is a genetically engineered suicide mechanism that can be triggered off by a specific outside stimulus. As a result, the seeds of the next generation will self-destruct by self-poisoning. Terminator technology is the Trojan horse for the spread of generality-Engineered crops in the south. The most alarming is the terminator genes themselves could infect the agricultural gene pool of the neighbour’s crops and of wild and weedy relatives. Temporary “gene silencing” of the poison gene or failed activation of the terminator countdown enables such infection. The terminator increases the risks through the new toxins and allergens will show up in our food and animal fodder.

    ABSTRACT:

Investigation on the influence of board involvement on price earning was carried out using both the correlation and the multiple regression models to analyze publicly available data for a sample of 69 firms from 11 sectors quoted in the Nigerian Stock Exchange for the fiscal year 2011. This indicates that the research made use of cross sectional data. Several diagnostic tests have been applied to justify the validity of the results. The empirical investigations reveal that directors’ shareholdings, firm’s age and firm’s leverage are significant. Good corporate governance standards are very essential to every organization and should be encouraged and practiced for the interest of the investors, shareholders and other stakeholders. From a developing economy, this paper is the first of its kind and offers evidence on the influence of board involvement on price earning. This research provides useful information that is of great value to policy makers, academia, corporate firms and other stakeholders.

    ABSTRACT:

A knitted fabric consist of forming yarn(s) into loops, each of which is typically only released after a succeeding loop has been formed and intermeshed with it so that a secure ground loop structure is achieved. In the knitted fabric, bamboo has different loop structure (single jersey, cross tuck, cross miss, twill weave). These fabrics are subjected to the testing air permeability, wicking test, thermal conductivity, water vapor permeability. Bamboo Knit Fabric is naturally bacteria and odor resistant, and is the practical, yet eco-friendly choice. True to a natural fiber, bamboo knits are already absorbent and breathable. The strength of bamboo adds to the durability of the fabric and is found to work well for those who are allergic to other natural fibers. Bamboo textiles are cloth, yarn, and clothing made out of bamboo fibers. Tencel is the registered trade name for a type of lyocell, a biodegradable material made from wood pulp cellulose. Result where analyzed for the better knit structure between bamboo and tencel.

    ABSTRACT:

To understand the dynamics of Dengue transmission particularly in areas having construction sites of Gandhinagar district to plan and implement effective control measures. The study was conducted covering 3 Primary Health centers viz. Uvarsad, Adraj and Sughad where maximum construction sites were located. Detailed analysis of Dengue cases detected was undertaken. 64% of the confirmed cases were male patients, while 61 % falls in the age group of 20 to 45 years. 42 % of the total dengue cases in the district were contributed by the three PHCs where construction sites were more. Entomological survey revealed that 73% of positive mosquito breeding places were due to stagnation of water in under construction buildings. The study clearly brings out the fact that construction sites create an ideal environment for the transmission of vector borne diseases like Dengue. To prevent transmission top down driven activities involving contractors and site managers needs to be effectively implemented. Adequate preventive measures at the construction sites and enforcement of legislative measures with penalty are necessary.

    ABSTRACT:

To provide support for both data and voice is essential requirement of present mobile networks both LTE and UMTS networks. In this work, we studied the heterogeneous wireless communication, as a joint collaborative orientation of different Radio Access Technology through which network produce can fulfill as possible as a large variety of user service difficulties in a more efficacious modality by) UMTS/LTE( is also increasing. The Proposed Model assumes that (HWN) based on two different (RATs) these technologies coexist, namely [UMTS, LTE]. Evaluate the performance of a heterogeneous network after applying the proposed load balance algorithm. Study the effect of load balance on each network during the change in height of the transmitter antenna and receiver antenna and change the location of the user from the network and the effect of these shows through the loss of output in each network. Furthermore, appraised changing Mobile Station (MS) antenna height, transmitter-receiver (T-R) separation distance and Base Station (BS) antenna height, seeing the system to work at applied for both LTE and UMTS network. This enhancement accompanied through the decrease of intervention and enhancement in excellence of service obtainable to the end user and find out the causes for the blocking phenomena.
