Population control is a significant issue worldwide especially in developing countries like India. Population breakout has responsible for various deleterious effects on life surviving resources on the earth. Therefore fertility regulation is necessary for the conservation of life supporting resources as well as good reproductive life of both males and females. Fertility control is a significant issue of global and national public health concern. To control the menace of population explosion, many nations have enmarked various programmes of family welfare.

Siwa Oasis is one of the most promised locations in the Western Desert of Egypt for future agricultural projects as a result of groundwater availability. In addition, it has historical, medical and environmental tourism importance. However, the uncontrolled abstraction and use of groundwater may lead to much environmental deterioration for soil and groundwater aquifer. This study dealt with the water quality of both shallow and deep aquifers in Siwa. The hydrochemical studies indicated the meteoric origin of deep aquifer and its suitability for different uses.

The continued search for the optimization of a versatile and efficient drug carrier is catalyzing multidisciplinary efforts that integrate diagnosis and delivery of therapeutic agents. Nanodiamonds (NDs) are versatile nanocomposite which exhibit excellent mechanical and optical properties, high surface areas, tunable surface structures and low toxicity. These advantageous properties make them well suited to a wide range of potential applications in tribology, drug delivery, bioimaging, tissue engineering, and also as protein mimics and a filler material for nanocomposites.

The taxonomic survey was carried out during June 2015 to March 2016 in Sokanasiniriver, Chittur Taluk, Palakkad district, Kerala. In the present study a total of 91 plant species belonging to 72 genera and 30 families were documented. The Fabaceae family was the largest contribution in 11 species followed by Asteraceae in 9 species and Malvaceae, Acanthaceae and Poaceae are each in 8 species and life forms of herbs are the dominantly present in the study area.

The characteristics of biochar are influenced mainly by the preparation temperature and biomass sources. Biochars were produced from three different sources (viz., cow dung, poultry manure, and sewage sludge) at two different temperatures (low temperature - +250ºC and high temperature - +450º C).

Background: Knee osteoarthritis (OA) is a major health problem worldwide that affects lumbar spine.Objective: This study was conducted to determine the relationship between symmetrical versus asymmetrical bilateral knee OA and lumbar curvature in patients with knee OA. Subjects: Sixty male patients with knee OA were selected from outpatient clinic of the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University. Their ages ranged from 40 to 54 years old, with a mean value of 48 ± 3.59 years old.
