Recognizing the role of inland fisheries, Government of India established a Central Inland Fisheries Research Station at Calcutta on 17 March 1947, under the then Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Later, in 1959, the Central Inland Fisheries Research Station was elevated to a full-fledged research institute, christened as "Central Inland Fisheries Research Institute".
The study examined the adoption of climate-smart livestock practices among cattle farmers in Bauchi State, Nigeria. A multi-stage sampling technique was used in selecting 446 respondents. Data were collected using structured questionnaire and were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results revealed that the respondents had a mean age, household size, and livestock production experience of 43 years, 10 persons, and 23 years, respectively. Most (91.5%) of the respondents were male and 84.3% were married. Similarly, 33.2% had Qur'anic education.
A beetle feeding on ripe guava fruit was observed in guava trees. The damage it caused was evident, as it formed galleries inside the fruit and consumed the entire pulp, leaving only the outer covering. Most of the fruit, regardless of size, was being consumed by adult stages of the beetle. Insects were captured for taxonomic identification, and their biological characteristics were subsequently reviewed in scientific publications. The objective of this evaluation was to report and identify the beetle's taxonomy and describe its biological behavior.
In recent years, the city of Porto-Novo has experienced significant population growth and urban development. This growth has resulted in a decrease in the availability of agricultural land within the city. The aim of this research is to identify and map the areas available for urban agriculture in Porto-Novo. The methodological approach used is structured around the identification of the data used: data collection, data processing, and results analysis.
Pulses are an important component of the agricultural system and a major source of dietary protein in Maharashtra. However, their productivity is significantly affected by various fungal diseases such as Fusarium wilt, dry root rot, powdery mildew, rust, and Cercospora leaf spot. The present review aims to compile and analyze existing research on the occurrence and management of major fungal diseases in pulse crops. The study is based on secondary data collected from peer-reviewed journals, books, and institutional publications.
Heavy metal contamination in soil is a major environmental concern caused by industrial, agricultural, and mining activities, leading to the accumulation of toxic elements like chromium. This study highlights the use of Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS) as a reliable and sensitive technique for detecting chromium in soil samples collected from agricultural, roadside, and mining areas. The samples were properly prepared through acid digestion to ensure accurate analysis.

Background: Avascular Necrosis (AVN) is a degenerative bone disorder caused by compromised blood supply, leading to structural collapse. In Ayurveda, it correlates with Asthimajjagata Vata, where aggravated Vata localized in bone and marrow causes debilitating pain and restricted mobility. Case Report: A 26-year-old male diagnosed with Grade 2 Bilateral AVN presented with chronic hip pain, limping gait, and restricted joint movements. He sought a non-surgical alternative to the recommended total hip arthroplasty.
The Nordmann’s Greenshank T. guttifer is an East world coastal bird. Are resident and breed in North-East, East, South-East Asia. Winter in Myanmar and Bangladesh. Two vagrant records from Nepal and Sri Lanka are insignificant and containable and rejected by authority. Kasambe and Kasambe has sighted in 2020 on 21st December at Western Coast of Maharashtra. In present article, introducing bird like Nordmann’s (Spotted) Greenshank T. guttifer, from Dholera wetland, Western coast of Gujarat, India.
