    ABSTRACT:

The current study investigated The rate at which SMEs go into extinction is alarming especially in emerging economies due to poor government policies and in-enabling business environment. It is expected that SMEs would take advantage of insurance policies to cover the obvious risks that they face. This study makes use of the UTAUT theory popularly applied to technology to understand what motivates SMEs to adopt insurance policies. The study enumerated 376 SMEs in the city of Ibadan Nigeria. Data was collected on performance claims/expectations, efforts expectancy, facilitating conditions, social influence and adoption of insurance policies/practices. The study found that performance claims/expectations, efforts expectancy significantly affected the adoption of insurance policy among SMEs in Nigeria. The study concluded that SMEs adopt insurance practices for expectations of what they would get from it and not for social influence nor because of facilitating environments. Insurance providers are advised to create awareness to SMEs on micro-insurance policies and its advantages to them.

    ABSTRACT:

Bacteriocin has established significant efficacy as a therapeutic agent. Its discovery has been a breakthrough in the combat against antibiotic resistance, which includes both multidrug-resistant and chronic bacterial infections. They are mainly bactericidal, antibiotic-like compounds produced by many bacteria that kill strains of the same or nearly related species and are differ from other (classical) antibiotics due to their restricted specificity of action and protein composition. It inhibits target organisms from proliferating by forming pores in the cell membrane, inhibiting cell wall component manufacturing, affecting autolytic enzyme activity, and preventing the development of bacterial spores. According to reports, bacteriocins are used as preservatives, probiotics, medications, plant growth promoters, oral, dental, and skin diseases, women's healthcare, and anticancer therapy in agriculture, veterinary medicine, food, and pharmaceutical industries.

    ABSTRACT:

Background:Patients post colectomy experience a substantial decline fitness level and quality of life. As obesity is one of the most important risk factors for colorectal cancer, studies show that aerobic exercises and weight loss program will result in reduction of leptin and increase of ghrelin in patients with colorectal cancer. Objectives: was to investigate plasma leptin and ghrelin concentrations in male patients with colorectal cancer post colectomy after 8 weeks of aerobic exercise and a week of detraining. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted on thirty men selected from surgery department at Minia University Hospital (Egypt). They were assigned randomly into two equal groups each group was 15 patients, their age ranged from 50-60 years. Patients were evaluated by rockportwalking test using (treadmill), Fazzini weight scale and fasting blood plasma test using (ELISA kit) before and after the study. The study group (A) received aerobic training for 8 weeks as 3 sessions /week each session last for 45 minutes and control group (B) were only advised about healthy lifestyle. Results: The results showed that heart rate was decreased and VO2peak was increased in the training group compared to the control group (P < 0.05). Ghrelin concentration was increased significantly in the training group compared to the control group (P < 0.05), while plasma leptin hormone did not change significantly after training for both groups. Conclusion: The study concluded that aerobic training increases ghrelin hormone levels VO2peak after 8 weeks of aerobic exerciseand a week of detraining however, plasma leptindose not affected by this protocol in male patients with colorectal cancer.

    ABSTRACT:

Sciaticais acondition characterized by sharppain originating in the lumbar region and extends down the postero-lateral aspect of the leg/thigh, often radiating to the foot or ankle. It affects around 13% to 40% population. Its etiology is believed to be multifactorial, mostly resulting from lumbosacral intervertebral disc herniation. In Conventional System of Medicine, this condition is managed by analgesics, NSAIDs, Opioid, analgesics, glucocorticoid injections and sometimes by surgical intervention, such treatment options are expensive, need to be used for a prolongedtimeand causevarious side effects. In Unani system of medicine, Irqun-Nasa (Sciatica) is believed to be caused by the accumulation of mawad-e-fasida in the vessel and is treated by number of treatment modalities. Fasd; a Unaniregimenaltherapyhas been used as a treatment option forSciatica by a number of physicianssince antiquity. In our present case study, we have done two sittings of Fasd on Saphenous vein or its tributaries, found impressive result. VAS and Sciatica Bothersome Index (SBI) at the end of the study are significant.

    ABSTRACT:

Background and objectives: Amputation is defined as an irreversible surgical act where total or partial removal of a body limb is done through one or more bones. It is said that the most frequent reasons are traumatic, oncologic and vascular. When people suffer from this type of process, they lose physical capacity which generates a decrease in their ability to ambulate and perform daily activities. The physiotherapeutic process in lower limb amputations is aimed at the recovery and functional retraining of ambulation to generate the greatest possible independence. This study aims to perform a systematic review of the literature to determine the effectiveness of rehabilitation exercises in the pre-prosthetic and prosthetic phases in lower limb amputee patients. Material and methods: A systematic review of published articles with a clinical trial study was carried out. where the information sources obtained were identified and quantified from digital databases such as: Elsevier, Google academic, Pubmed, PeDRO and Scielo; subsequently they were disfavored according to the selection criteria and qualitative information that was extracted from each of them. Results: Articles were obtained through systematic searching in the five database platforms. There were about 2,736 results, of which 8 of these articles met the established selection criteria. The results and conclusions of the included articles showed the positive effectiveness of physiotherapeutic exercises as part of the treatment in amputee patients. Conclusions: It was shown that integrating the rehabilitation area, and establishing a physiotherapeutic exercise program in the pre-prosthetic and prosthetic stages, has a positive effect on the experimental group.
