A study on advantages and limitations of ehd drying of food materials

Energy consumption index is one of the most important criteria for judging about new, and emerging drying technologies. Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) drying is a novel method of non-thermal processing. The drying can be carried out using either AC or DC high voltages. The thermodynamic considerations regarding the lowering of temperature under EHD drying include rapid rates of evaporation and exothermic interaction of the electric field with a dielectric material. Multi-point and plate electrode systems are efficient in accelerating drying of agricultural materials.

A primer on rfid

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification. It refers to technologies that use radio waves to identify objects, animals, or people. Due to its low energy consumption and adaptability to different environments, RFID has found applications in many fields. This paper describes the basics of RFID technology, its applications, and the challenges it faces.

Spectroscopic analysis of egg albumin with amantadine in span 40

Spectroscopic analysis was used to study the effect of the interaction of egg albumin with amantadine in SPAN-40 solution. Protein binding properties of Egg albumin-amantadine complex were investigated by fluorescence spectroscopic technique. From the fluorescence spectral data stern-volmer quenching constant and the quenching rate constant have been calculated and reported. Other constants calculated for the surfactant SPAN 40 micelle were aggregation number, radius, surface area per head group and packing parameter.

n integrated fuzzy ahp and entropy method to supplier selection in supply chain under fuzzy environment

Supplier performance evaluation and selection are multi criteria decision making problems. In supply chain, appropriate selection of vendor has become strategic problem. The decision of supplier selection is unstructured and complicated task purchasing managers of any company. Supplier evaluation process consists both quantitative and quantitative criteria.

Detailed loses of internal capacitor

This paper presents a review on the detailed capacitor model and it includes theoretical literature and suggestions how to measure capacitors properties at the laboratory. Theoretical part gives idea about how the capacitors work, its charging and discharging, its non-linear behaviors and capacitor types. Non-linear behaviors are presented and explained in details how to calculate them theoretically.

Analytical determination of steady state performance indices of single-phase induction motor, using symmetrical components of unbalanced voltages of 3-phase system

This work presents the steady-state performance indices of single phase induction motor, from symmetrical components of unbalanced three-phase system. The analysis of unsymmetrical fault conditions, using the method of symmetrical components, is a means of resolving an unbalanced three-phase system of impedances into three equivalent single-phase systems with independence impedance parameters.

Concept analysis of value

Value is a word that is used in many aspects of the world. Understanding the concept of value helps guide the professional in their daily practice as they perform their daily functions. The review of value as a concept is based on an understanding of what value is through how it is used and its defining attributes. To strengthen this understanding, a model case and a contrary case are provided to guide an application of the concept of value in different settings. To support this, antecedents, consequences, and empirical referents are discussed.

Analysis of the effect of prediction-observation-Explanation and inquiry-based learning methods on scientific process skills and critical thinking disposition of preservice science teachers in general physics laboratory

The aim of study is to determine the effect of Prediction-Observation-Explanation (POE) and inquiry based learning methods which were applied in General Physics Laboratory 1 for science Teaching 1st class pre-service teachers. The sample is composed of 55 people, 27 of them in Group 1, 28 people in Group 2, all of whom are Science Education department students receiving the course of General Physics Laboratory. The model of this study is experimental pattern without pre and post-test control group. Group 1 was applied POE method, group 2 was applied Inquiry-based Learning method.

Constraints on research productivity in Kenyan universities: case study of university of Nairobi, Kenya

Besides teaching, research has become a core function of universities around the world. Yet, like in many African countries, Kenyan universities still lag behind in terms of research productivity, due to factors many researchers refer to as constraints. This study which was conducted in the University of Nairobi sought to analyze constraints that influence research productivity in the university.

Coverage of dalit issues in kannada newspaper- A content analysis

The purpose of this study is to analyze the coverage of dalit issues in Kannada newspaper. This research proposes to know the major categories published in different newspapers, to examine the space given to dalit issues and to find out how dalits are portrayed in newspaper. The primary data was collected through the Content analyses method. The study included two newspapers Vijayavani and Vijayakarnataka for the period of three month i.e. January to March 2016. The newspapers were selected randomly on the basis of their highest circulation.
